Lamp providing direct light. Lamp moves vertically via sliding of a painted or nickel-plated shaped steel tube on a ceiling-to-floor steel cable (4000 mm long). Fixture head made of injection-molded black elastomer housing a switch. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness.
The beginnings of Flos (meaning “flower” in Latin) was born from a creative and brilliant idea. This was to create stunning objects for the home that originated with a light bulb. This would then change the italian market, by Flos using their innovative technologies to create custom pieces including the cocoon lamp. Flos design items for the home to create an unusual but contemporary aesthetic.
