Mademoiselle Contempos’s Armchairs

Historical, in a way, but goofy and ironic as well. It is made of remembrances and hints of nineteenth century seats, but recollections are translated into original and different shapes: the seamless sinuosity of the outline, the sudden and different inclination of the front and back legs, the proportions, now and then puffier or leaner than the original, historic proportions.
A damsel, knowingly goofy and exaggerated in her large, soft lines and in her caprice for quirky stitches.
A free standing armchair that can get along any ambience and style.
